Recent work

A few of the makers and small businesses we’ve built brands and systems for. Each one started in a different place: some with a product and no story yet, some with a story and no system to run it on. What they share is a willingness to build something real and the patience to let a brand grow alongside it.

We don’t take on a project unless we can be honest about what it needs. Some of what’s below is finished work. Some is still underway. Either way, this is where we show it.

Vertical Grind Coffee

A Pacific Northwest specialty coffee brand built from scratch.

We built the brand identity, the website, email automation, and product labeling that took a side project and turned it into a real business. That meant developing a visual identity that could live on a bag of beans and a web page equally well, setting up an ecommerce system that could handle both online orders and farmers market sales, and building an email and CRM system that keeps customers coming back between roasts. The work is ongoing, since a coffee brand’s marketing never really finishes, it just moves with the seasons and the roast lineup.

Renovo Amp Works

Hand-built guitar amplifiers and gear for working musicians.

We built a brand identity, photography direction, and the web presence that put a two-person workshop on the map. Amps built by hand need to look and sound like they were, so the photography direction leaned into the workbench, the solder, and the materials rather than a sterile product shot. The web presence gives the shop a place to show finished builds and reach musicians who care about tone over mass production.

NW Commerce Group

Amazon channel management and retail strategy for product brands.

We built the prospecting system, service positioning, and web foundation for their agency relaunch. That included figuring out how to describe a fairly technical service (Amazon channel management, retail buyer relationships, marketplace strategy) in language a small brand owner would actually understand, then building outreach and a website around that positioning.

Binoc.co

Something new is being built to help small businesses stay on top of key metrics.

We’re still early on this one. The goal is a tool simple enough for an owner running their business day to day to actually use, without needing a dashboard full of numbers nobody has time to read.

And, to get the help you need to launch your idea without someone like us! Stay tuned.
